UB Men Come Back To Win ECC Opener Over Queens, 2-1
Two Second Half Goals Lift Purple Knights To The Win

Naglestad (Kristiansand, Norway)headed home the
game-winning goal off a cross from Nick
Campbell (Queens, N.Y.) with just under 20 minutes to
play in the second half to lift the University of Bridgeport men's
soccer team to a 2-1 comeback home victory of the Queens College
Knights on Saturday afternoon in the 2010 East Coast Conference
opener for both teams. UB is now 3-3-0 overall and 1-0 in ECC
play. Queens falls to 1-4-0 overall and 0-1-0 in conference
action.
Queens lead 1-0 at the half after Metri
Abul-Karim scored his first goal of the season off a
pretty assist from sophomore Danny Stoker.
The Purple Knights would tie thing up a 1-1 in the 54th minute when junior Josh Peligrini (Vineland, N.J.) recorded his second goal of the season when he headed home a cross from Naglestad, who has a team-leading four assists in six matches.
Sophomore Danny Hernandez (Bay Shore, N.Y.) made four saves to notch his second win of the season without a loss.
The UB men are next in action on Saturday, September 25th when the host Mercy College. Game time at Knights Field is set for 6:00 p.m.
