Two Purple Knights Named To CCA All-Region Teams
Women’s volleyball stars Hailey Jessen and Jaden Drollinger earned CCA All-East Region honors.
Flushing, N.Y.- University of Bridgeport women's volleyball team had two members honored by the Conference Commissioners Association (CCA) on Wednesday. Freshman Hailey Jessen (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) was named to the All-East Region First Team while Junior Jaden Drollinger (Queens Creek, Az.) earned Second Team honors. The Division II Conference Commissioners Association All-Region Teams are selected by athletic communications professionals from the various NCAA regions of the country.
Hailey Jessen has had an incredible maiden collegiate campaign as she leads all of Division II in total kills with 567 kills. She attacks with a .246 hitting percentage and average 4.26 kills per set which is the 17th best in the nation. Jessen also adds 1.29 digs and .29 blocks per set in defense for UB.
Jaden Drollinger proved once again that she is one of the top setters in the nation so far in the 2023 season. Drollinger leads all of Division II with a whopping 1387 assists and averages 10.51 per set. She also is tied for second most service aces in the nation with 72, averaging .59 per set. Jaden adds 2.25 digs per set and attacks with a .231 hitting percentage to further aid Bridgeport on the court.
The Purple Knights are next in action on Thursday, November 30th as they take on Adelphi University in the NCAA DII East Regional First Round.

The Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2 CCA) encourages and promotes Division II athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements of higher education. The CCA is a key communications link among the conferences as they discuss views, policies and regulations that impact Division II intercollegiate athletics and works closely with the NCAA as a communications channel to NCAA Division II member colleges and universities.
