Amanda Hennemann Earns ECC Volleyball Defensive Player Of The Week Accolades
Averaged 4.4 Digs Per Set In Three Matches Last Week
West Babylon, N.Y.-University of Bridgeport graduate student Amanda Hennemann (Nova Petropolis, Brazil) has been selected this week's East Coast Conference Women's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week for outstanding play in matches that took place form November 1 through November 7, 2021.
The 2021 ECC Preseason Player of the Year, Hennemann led the Purple Knights in digs in three matches, averaging 4.4 per set (53 total digs) in a 2-1 week. In a win over Bentley, she had 27, then 15 at D'Youville, and finished the week with 11 at Daemen. She also chipped in 13 assists, four service aces, four kills, and one block on the week. So far in 2021, Amanda leads Bridgeport with 297 digs.
This week, the UB women's volleyball team closes out the 2021 regular season schedule at home with a Senior Night match this Friday night at 7:00 p.m. against Mercy College.
