Track and Field Competes at SCSU's Jim Barber Invitational
Final tune-up prior to the CACC Championships (May 4-5).
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Competing for the final time before conference championships, the University of Bridgeport's men's and women's track and field teams were at SCSU's Jim Barber Invitational on Saturday.
Freshman Nick Migliarese led the UB men's side with a pair of personal records. The rookie posted a PR in the hammer with a 32.49m and then in the discus with a 32.13m.
Migliarese also raced to a season-best time in the 110-hurdles with a mark of 18.28.
Fellow freshman John Panzera joined in with a PR in the javelin (44.38m) while also finishing second in the high jump (1.82m).
Classmate Damian Coles also logged a lifetime-best time on Saturday. The Philadelphia native dashed to a PR of 22.96 in the 200-meter.
On the women's side, Morgan Dodge competed well in the javelin. The Watertown, Conn. native finished 15th in the event with a mark of 23.79m.
