UB Swimmers Strong At BU Terrier Invitational
Women Take 7th And Men Finish In 5th Places
Boston, Mass.-The University of Bridgeport men's and women's swimming teams spent a busy weekend in Boston competing at 2015 Boston University Terrier Invitational from Friday through Sunday. Both UB squads got excellent swims from their entire rosters, as the men finished in fifth place, and the women took home seventh. Bridgeport finished in a combined fifth place over the three days.
The Bridgeport men's team took home five places over the weekend, as senior Ivan Capan (Zagreb, Croatia) won 200 IM (1:49.18) and the 100 Breaststroke (54.80), plus junior Didac Matsuyama (Barcelona, Spain) won the 100 Butterfly (48.73). The UB men also won the 400 Medley Relay and the 200 Medley Relay.
The Purple Knights women's team took first in 200 Free Relay.
After taking Thanksgiving Weekend off, the UB swim teams will return to the pool at the TCNJ Invitational the following weekend.
