Women’s Soccer Seeded Seventh For CACC Championship Season
UB women’s soccer will play a road-game quarterfinal against second seed Wilmington University on Sunday, November 5th to kick start their 2023 postseason.
Bridgeport, Conn. – The University of Bridgeport women's soccer team will open the 2023 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament as the seven seed, away from home against number two seeded Wilmington University on Sunday, November 5th at 1:00 p.m. UB finished the 2023 regular season with 7-7-3 overall record and a 5-5-1 conference record. Wilmington finished their 2023 regular season run with a11-2-4 overall record while finishing CACC play with a 8-1-2 record.
The regular season matchup between the two sides went to the Wildcats as they were 2-1 victors over the Purple Knights on October 14th. Tatianna Lizarraga (Grad., Tucson, Ariz.) scored the lone goal for Bridgeport on that afternoon.
Sunday's winner will move on the CACC Women's Soccer Semifinals which will take place on Friday in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The UB/Wilmington victor will face the winner of the Caldwell vs. Georgian Court contest that will also be played on Sunday.
The 2023 CACC Women's Soccer Championship will be played on Sunday, November 12th at 11:00 a.m., and again the match will take place at Knights Field on the University of Bridgeport Campus. The CACC women's soccer champion will receive an automatic bid to this year's NCAA Division II Women's Soccer National Championship Tournament that will begin on November 16th.

Admission for all rounds of the CACC Women's Soccer Championship is $10 for adults & $5 for children, seniors and college students with a valid school ID. Children under three years of age will be admitted for free.
