Blauvelt, N.Y.-The University of Bridgeport women's soccer team scored four goals in the first 13:49 of action, as the Purple Knights cruised to a 6-0 non-conference road win over the host Nyack College Warriors on Wednesday afternoon. UB is now 12-1-0 overall, and the Purple Knights have won seven matches in a row. Nyack falls to 1-11-1 on the 2015 season.
Junior Amanda Moura (Belo Horizonte, Brazil) netted the first two goals of the game, and freshman Jess Laszlo (Stamford. Conn.) scored the next two for the Purple Knights. Moura now has four goals in 2015, and Laszlo leads the team with 12 tallies. Laszlo also had one assist on the afternoon.
Freshman Marieke Kramer (Megchelen, Netherlands) and sophomore Hailey Marquis (Middlebury, Conn.) had the other goals for the Purple Knights.
Junior Hanne Neby (Furnes, Norway) and sophomores Nicole Greenwald (Levittown, N.Y.) and Ariana Weingrad (Hicksville, N.Y.) also had assists on the day for the Purple Knights.
Freshman goalkeeper Melanie Ziegner (Münster, Germany) made two saves to record her third solo shutout of the season.
