UB Women's Soccer Program Earns Tenth Consecutive NSCAA Team Academic Award
Purple Knights Star Both On the Field And In The Classroom
Bridgeport, Conn.-For the tenth consecutive season, the University of Bridgeport women's soccer program has been recognized by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) with a College Team Academic Award.
A total of 635 soccer teams (194 men, 441 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2009-10 academic year
The UB women's soccer team, under the direction of twelfth-year head coach Magnus Nilerud, posted a 3.36 grade point average to earn its tenth consecutive NSCAA Team Academic Award.
On the field in 2010, the Purple Knights posted a 14-4-2 overall record and advance to the Second Round of the NCAA Division II National Championship Tournament.
