Dimaio Earns Fourth CACC Weekly Award

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – After posting two more terrific performances last week, sophomore Tara Dimaio of the University of Bridgeport's women's lacrosse team has been named the CACC's Defensive Player of the Week. She has now won four CACC weekly awards this season, including three Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Dimaio was once again terrific in a pair of Bridgeport wins last week. The Long Island native registered a team-high 12 caused turnovers to go along with eight ground balls and three draw controls. She also tallied 11 points off eight goals and three assists.

Dimaio is currently leading the CACC in caused turnovers this season (36) and is ranked fourth in the country in CTs per game (3.00).
