Bridgeport, Conn.-The University of Bridgeport women's lacrosse team wrapped up its 2022 home schedule with a 19-8 East Coast Conference loss against the visiting Molloy College Lions on Saturday afternoon. With the loss, UB is now 7-4 overall and 1-3 in the ECC. The Lions move to 8-7 overall and 3-2 in conference play.
Graduate student Shyla Murray (Brentwood, N.Y.) led the Purple Knights with three goals on the day. Senior Addison Plume (Glen Arm, Md.) had two goals for UB, and Andrea Basilicato (Grad., Guilford, Conn.), Danielle Kreitler (Sr., Shelton, Conn.) and Tereza Kreuzova (Prague, Czech Republic), each netted on score to Bridgeport its total of eight.
Freshman goalkeeper Jacklyn Mellia (Nanuet, N.Y.) made 13 stops on the afternoon in the Purple Knights' cage.
Up next, the UB women's lacrosse team will close out the 2022 season with a pair of road games beginning on Tuesday, April 26 at Mercy College.
