Offense Continues To Shine As Women's Lacrosse Moves To 2-0 With A Road Win Over Felician
Purple Knights Defeat The Host Golden Falcons, 21-4
Rutherford, N.J.-The University of Bridgeport women's lacrosse team used another strong offensive performance to move its season record to 2-0 with a 21-4 road win over the host Felician University Golden Falcons on Wednesday afternoon in the Garden State. Felician is now 1-2 on the season.
Bridgeport scored the first five goals of the game and never looked back on its way to the victory.
Through two games, the Purple Knights have scored a total of 45 goals.
Along with Wednesday's strong performance on offense, the defense proved stingy not allowing the Golden Falcons to score a goal in the second half of action.
Senior Addison Plume (Glen Arm, Md.) led the Bridgeport offense on Monday netting six goals.
UB graduate student Shyla Murray (Brentwood, N.Y.) continued her hot start to the 2022 season putting home five goals and handing out one assist for a total of six points.
Senior Danielle Kreitler (Shelton, Conn.) accumulated nine points in the win, as she dished off five assists and scored four goals.
Courtney Hylok (Grad., Muskegon, Mich.) and Megan Kreitler (Sr., Shelton, Conn.), each had two goals on Wednesday, and Andrea Basilicato (Grad. Guilford, Conn.) plus Jessica Kinser (Sr., Voorhees, N.J.) completed the Bridgeport goal scoring tally sheet, as they netted one marker.
Up next, the UB women's lacrosse team will wrap up a two-game road swing at American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts on Saturday afternoon. Opening draw is set for 1:00 p.m.
