UB Women's Lacrosse Named An IWLCA ZAG Sports Academic Honor Squad For Third Straight Season
Juniors Geovanna Ferreira And Amanda Fitzpatrick Earn Spots On The Division II Academic Honor Roll
Bridgeport, Conn.–For the third straight season, the University of Bridgeport women's lacrosse team is one of over 300 schools across NCAA Division I, II, III and NAIA institutions that have been honored as Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Zag Sports Academic Honors Squads, plus two members of the team were also named to the IWLCA Zag Sports Division II Academic Honor Roll. To qualify for the team honor, the women's lacrosse program must have posted a 3.0 or higher team GPA for the academic year.
Juniors Geovanna Ferreira (Danbury, Conn.) and Amanda Fitzpatrick (New Hampton, N.Y.) were the two Purple Knights who representing UB on the honor roll. Individuals named to the 2018 Zag Sports Academic Honor Roll must be a junior, senior or graduate student who earned a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or greater during the academic year.
