Women's Lacrosse Moves To 3-4 Overall With 15-1 Victory Over Felician
Purple Knights Back In Action At Home On Thursday Night Against Dominican
Bridgeport. Conn.-The University of Bridgeport women's lacrosse team picked up its second straight win and raised its overall record to 3-4 with a 15-1 non-conference home victory over the Felician University Golden Falcons on Monday at Knights Field. Bridgeport is now 3-4 overall, and Monday's contest was the first in program history for the Golden Falcons.
Freshman Courtney Forry (Reinholds, Pa.) led the UB offense on Monday with four goals and four assists for eight points.
Sophomore Abigail Benesh (Horseheads, N.Y.) also had a fine day on offense for the Purple Knights with three goals and three assists, and classmate Arianna Weingrad (Hicksville, N.Y.) had two goals and three helpers for the winners.
The Bridgeport women's lacrosse team will look to run its winning streak to three games on Thursday night when the Purple Knights host Dominican (N.Y.) College at 7:00 p.m.
