Gymnastics Takes on Connecticut Foes at Yale
Purple Knights rack up score of 192.650--their third highest of the season.
New Haven, Conn. – Facing off against their two Connecticut foes, the University of Bridgeport's gymnastics team rattled off a total score of 192.650 at Yale on Sunday. The Purple Knights competed against the host Bulldogs and Southern Connecticut State in a tri-meet at Payne Whitney Gymnasium.

*UB's team total on Sunday marked their third-highest score of the season. The Purple Knights are now averaging a tally of 191.856 across five meets.

Coach Galow's squad was once again led by their floor lineup, including a season-best performance from sophomore Abigail Kenney. The New Jersey native posted a score of 9.875 to finish second among all competitors on floor.
Classmate Lola Sepulveda was also terrific on floor with a mark of 9.800 while Nova Staruk put together a 9.775 effort. Sepulveda finished third in the all-around as she piled up a score of 38.300.
In addition to floor, Kenney also led the Purple Knights on the balance beam courtesy of a 9.775—which finished second across all gymnasts on Sunday. In the end, Kenney also finished second in the all-around with a tally of 38.650.
Bridgeport boasted the top score of all competitors on vault as well with Emily Hernandez launching herself to a score of 9.750. Senior Kieran Ross followed with a very solid mark of 9.725 in the same event.
