BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Playing their first home game of 2024, the University of Bridgeport's women's basketball team dropped a 72-46 contest to Chestnut Hill College on Saturday afternoon.
The Purple Knights were led by a 15-point, nine-rebound performance from senior Shakira Hester. The Bronx, N.Y. native shot an efficient 7-for-12 from the field, while also chipping in a steal, a block and an assist.
Freshman Harmony Earth-Wiley and sophomore Niyah Whitten joined in with eight points apiece, while senior Tariah Bryant added six off the bench.
Defensively, Bridgeport finished with six steals and forced Chestnut Hill to commit 20 turnovers.
