Waterbury, Conn.-The University of Bridgeport women's basketball team opened its 2022-23 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference schedule on Wednesday evening with an 80-59 road loss against the host Post University Eagles. UB is now 3-4 overall so far this season and 0-1 in the CACC. Post is now 6-2 overall and 1-0 in conference play.
Senior Stephanie McBride (Brooklyn, N.Y.) led the Purple Knights, as she scored a season-high 18 points for the second straight game.
McBride was joined in double figures by freshman Amani Melendez (Woodbridge, Va.) with 13 points.
Up next, the UB women's basketball team will host Bloomfield College on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. in a CACC til in Hubbell Gym.
