Aziza Patterson Nets 36 Points But UB Women Lose At Daemen, 87-72
Purple Knights Will Close Out 2013-14 Season At Home Versus UDC Next Saturday At 1:00 p.m
Amherst, N.Y.-Senior Aziza Patterson (Teaneck, N.J.) scored a game-high 36 points for the University of Bridgeport women's basketball team on Saturday afternoon, but it was not enough as UB los to the host Daemen College Wildcats, 87-72. Daemen came back from a 39-34 halftime deficit to grab the victory. UB heads into its 2013-14 season finale at home next Saturday versus the University of the District of Columbia with a 6-19 overall record and a 4-14 East Coast Conference record. Daemen is now 8-18 overall and 5-15 in conference play.
Junior Jenna Hoffman (Manchester Center, Vt.) joined Patterson in double figures with 10 points. Sophomore Shannon Holt (Holden, Mass.) had a fine game off the UB bench scoring eight points, grabbing nine rebounds and blocking four shots.
Lindsay Stoddard led five Daemen players in double-digits with 26 points.
