Postseason Honors Continue To Roll In For UB Softball With Reveal Of NFCA And D2CAA All-Region Squads
Five Different Student-Athletes Receive All-Region Accolades
Bridgeport, Conn.-Postseason honors continued to come in for members of the University of Bridgeport softball program, as two all-region teams were announced in conjunction with the start of the NCAA Division II Softball Championship. Four Purple Knights have been recognized as National Fastpitch Coaches' Association (NFCA) All-East Region selections and five as Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-Region picks as selected by region's Sports Information Directors.
Three student-athletes, pitcher Kaite Burawski (Jr., Hartly, Del.), outfielder Kaira Ramon (Sr., Stamford, Conn.) and shortstop Madison D'Amato (Fr., Warwick, R.I.) earned First Team All-Region spots from both the NFCA and the D2CAA.
Third baseman Kiana Robinson (So., Hamden, Conn.) was named First Team All-Region by D2CAA and took home Second Team All-Region recognition by the NFCA.
Junior Taylor Yates (Jr., Elk Grove, Calif.) was chosen Second Team All-East Region by D2CAA.
