Junior Kaite Burawski (Hartley, Del.) struck out 14 and allowed only four hits in pitching a complete game to pick win number 15 of 2022 in game one.
In the nightcap, UB snapped a 2-2 tie with a pair of run in the top of seventh on RBI singles by senior Kaira Ramon (Stamford, Conn.), who had two hits in the game and Kiana Robinson, and then held on for the win as the hosts scored one run in the bottom of the inning.
The Purple Knights' other runs in game two came home on an RBI safety squeeze bunt by Taylor Yates in the fourth and a solo home run by Kalea Faulk, her fifth homer of the season, in the fifth inning.
Freshman Erin Lifrieri (Seymour, Conn.) earned the win in relief in the nightcap, as she pitched three innings in which she allowed an unearned run on two hits with one strikeout.
Kaite Burawski pitched the seventh inning to picked up her third save of 2022.
