Clermont, Fla.-The University of Bridgeport softball split two games on day three of its Spring Break trip to Florida defeating Slippery Rock, 1-0, and falling to the University of Findlay, 7-1. The Purple Knights are now 3-3 on the season.
Versus Slippery Rock, an RBI triple by sophomore Allison Luzzi (East Haven, Conn.) was all the offense classmate Ashley Eisnor (Medford, Mass.) would need in the pitcher circle, as she upped her season record to 2-0 with a six-hit shutout. Eisnor fanned five and walked zero in her Saturday morning gem.
Against Findlay, sophomore Samantha Sabor (Plainfield, Illinois) had a double, and senior Gabryelle Dubois (Carlisle, Iowa) drove in UB's lone run.
