Rockville Centre, N.Y.-The University of Bridgeport softball team lost both ends of an East Coast Conference doubleheader at Molloy College on Thursday losing game one, 15-7 in five innings, and 6-5 in game two, as the host Lions pushed across a run in the bottom of the seventh inning to grab the victory. In the opener, senior Katelyn Wall (Madison, Conn.) starred at the plate going 2-for-3 with two home runs (a two-run and three-run shot) and five RBIs.
In game two, Wall homered again, a two-run blast, to give her a team-high five homers so far this year. The Purple Knights also received home runs from sophomores Ashley Hessler (Pawtucket, R.I.), a solo blast, and Meghan O'Leary (Lafayette, N.J.), a two-run shot to tie the game at 5-5, in the nightcap.
