UB Drops A Pair Of Two-Run Decisions To Sioux Falls And Minot State
Clermont, Fla.-On a rainy day in Florida, the University of Bridgeport softball team saw its early season record fall to 2-6, as the Purple Knights lost a pair games, falling to the University of Sioux Falls, 6-4, and dropped a 3-1 decision to a top-notch Minot State club.
Against Sioux Falls, sophomore Morgan Dunn (Cohoes, N.Y.) blasted a home run for the Purple Knights, and senior Stephanie Pearce (Surry, England) had two hits and two runs batted in plus sophomore Jade Blair (West Deptford, N.J.) also had two hits.
In the nightcap on Tuesday, junior pitcher Tiffany Irrera (Brooklyn, N.Y.) saw her season record slip to 1-3, as she was the hard-luck loser firing a complete game in which she allowed only one earned run.
