Softball Falls At Home To Dowling
Only One Game Of Scheduled Doubleheader Played Due To Cold And Wet Weather

Bridgeport, Conn.-The UB softball team lost a 17-0 home decision in five innings to Dowling College on a cold and windy Saturday in Seaside Park. The weather was so cold in fat that game two of the scheduled doubleheader was not played and will be made up at a later date. Bridgeport is now 5-22 overall and 0-13 in East Coast Conference play. Dowling, the top team in the ECC standings, is now 30-2 overall and 16-0 in conference action.
Sophomore Taylor McBeth (Langley, B.C., Canada) and senior Nicole Steiner (Edison, N.J.) had the lone hits for the Purple Knights on the day.
Bridgeport is next scheduled to be in action on Sunday at NYIT.
