Junior Cross Country And Basketball Student-Athlete Represents The East Coast Conference At NCAA Event
West Palm Beach, Fla. - University of Bridgeport cross country and men's basketball student-athlete, Adam Glantz, and Queens College's Director of Compliance, Jaime Browne, recently attended the NCAA Division II Identity Workshop hosted by Palm Beach Atlantic University.
Administrators and Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) members from each of Division II's 24 conferences were in attendance at the event which focused on implementing the Division II strategic positioning platform and enhancing Division II's identity.
The event featured numerous breakout sessions and guest speakers focusing on topics such as community service and engagement, social media, and game-day environments. The workshop attendees also visited a local middle-school to help serve food and play games at a Family Night event attended by over 600 people.
"The workshop was an empowering experience," stated Browne. "After engaging, sharing and learning from such an enthused group of advisors, student-athletes and presenters, one can only return to campus charged and equipped to enrich our student-athletes experience and exhibit what it means to be part of Division II."
"It was an incredible experience, with great organization, speakers, and presentations," added Glantz. "I went there without any expectations but left with a new DII family."
