Cross Country Teams Take Part In 18th Annual James Early Invitational Hosted By Westfield State
Women Take 29th Out Of 38 Teams And Men Finish 30th Out Of 35 Teams
Westfield, Mass.-The University of Bridgeport cross country teams competed in the 18th Annual James Early Invitational hosted by Westfield State University of Massachusetts on Saturday. The women's team took 29th out of 38 teams, and the men's team finished 30th out of 35 squads.
For the women, freshman Tiffany Eberhart (Jackson, N.J.) was the team's top finisher covering the 5k course in a time of 21:31.84 which was good for the 92nd scoring place. Eberhart has been the Purple Knights' top finisher in every meet so far in 2013.
On the men's side, junior Naqwan Crowell (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) was the team's top finisher crossing the finish line after the 8k race in a time of 30:24.89.
The Bridgeport cross country teams are back in action on Saturday, October 19 at the Saint Joseph's College Invitational in Kings Prk, N.Y.
