Track and Field Competes at SCSU's Wilton Wright Invitational
The Purple Knights will compete at the UMass Multi Meet next week.
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Competing for the second time outdoors this spring, the University of Bridgeport's men's and women's track and field teams took part in the Wilton Wright Invitational on Saturday.
Women's Recap
In the midst of solid performances, Kate Thill tied a personal best in the high jump. The Luxembourg native tallied a mark of 1.35m. She also sprinted to a time of 14.39 in the 100-meter.
Other field results included Faith Hershberger registering a 22.30m in the hammer throw and 7.44m in the shot put.
Morgan Dodge joined in with a distance of 4.40m in the long jump.
Lynzie Lawton and Samantha Rodriguez also took to the track with respective marks of 1:14.70 in the 400-meter and 36.80 in the 200-meter.
Men's Recap
Damian Coles led the way on the men's side with an 11th-plce finish in the 400m. The Philadelphia native darted to a time of 52.62.
Nick Migliarese and John Panzera each competed in the three events. Migliarese went 33.45m in the javelin, 5.78m in the long jump, and 12.06 in the 100-meter.
John Panzera, meanwhile, put together a 56.37 in 400-meter, 39.92m in the javelin, and 5.18m in long jump.
