Track and Field Finishes Indoor Season at SCSU's Last Chance Meet

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – With the indoor season coming to a close, the University of Bridgeport's men's and women's track and field teams competed at Southern Connecticut's Last Chance Meet on Friday.
Amongst many notable performances was a school-record effort from freshman John Panzera. The Haddam, Conn. native launched a 3.50m in the pole vault to mark a new program best and a personal record.
Panzera also logged a first-place finish in the high jump with a score of 1.75 meters.
Additionally on the men's side were terrific efforts from Nick Migliarese and Damian Coles. Migliarese finished with a season-best time of 9.78 in the 55-hurdles while also leaping to a 6.00m in the long jump.
Coles raced his way to a 53.60 in the 400-meter to finish fourth amongst all individual competitors.
For the women, Kate Thill and Morgan Dodge both put together excellent efforts. Thill competed in the high jump for the first time ever, registering a 1.35m in the event. She also recorded a personal-best time in the 400-meter with a mark of 1:09.84.
Dodge, meanwhile, showed great improvement in the high jump. The senior finished third in the event with a height of 1.20m.
