Sparkill, N.Y.-The University of Bridgeport men's basketball team saw its three-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday evening, as the Purple Knights dropped a 93-85 decision at St. Thomas Aquinas College. UB is now 8-7 overall and 6-2 in the ECC. STAC raise its overall record to 13-4, and the Spartans are 7-2 in conference play.
Four Purple Knights reached double-digit scoring led by senior Muhammed Ahmed (Bronx, N.Y.) with 20 points.
UB freshman D'Vonne Trumbo (Franklinville, N.J.) has 15 points, and seniors Ernest Rouse (Freeport, N.Y.) and Devon Elliott (Brooklyn, N.Y.) netted 13 and 11 points respectively.
The Bridgeport men's basketball team is scheduled to be next in action at home on Saturday at home versus Mercy College at 3:00 p.m.
