BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – In the first of six games scheduled this week, the University of Bridgeport's baseball team dropped an 8-2 contest to Felician on Tuesday. The loss snapped a four-game winning streak for the Purple Knights.
Despite just the two runs, Bridgeport had its chances. The Purple Knights finished with 12 runners left on base, including bases-loaded threats in both the seventh and eighth innings.
Jake Woods and Liam O'Neal each led the UB offense with 2-for-3 efforts. They also supplied both runs courtesy of RBI singles in the second and eighth innings.
The Purple Knights' offense featured eight singles, six walks and three stolen bases.
On the pitching side, Jonathan Siwiecki tossed a pair of scoreless innings in relief and Joaquin Brasher threw a scoreless ninth.
