BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – In the first of two doubleheaders this weekend, the University of Bridgeport's baseball team dropped a pair of contests (16-0, 6-2) to Post on Saturday.
Vin Mallon led the Purple Knights' offense with three of their eight total hits on the day. He knocked a double in game one before going 2-for-3 with two runs scored in the finale.
Christian Ortiz logged UB's only RBI of the day with an RBI ground out in the second contest.
Jake Woods also enjoyed a solid Game Two, going 2-for-2 with a walk.
Pitching wise, Tyler Hodella and Joaquin Brasher each tossed scoreless innings in the second game.
