BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Continuing a stretch of seven games in six days, the University of Bridgeport's baseball team was defeated by Adelphi on Monday by a score of 8-3.
Despite the loss, the Purple Knights' bullpen served as a highlight against the Panthers. UB's three relief pitchers, Ryan DiLillo, Tim Dolan and Joaquin Brasher allowed just two hits across five scoreless innings.
Offensively, UB's six total hits in the game came from six different players.
Of those six, Marcos Dominguez, Sean Jefferson, and Christian Ortiz all tallied RBI knocks. Ortiz provided the biggest excitement with a solo home run in the ninth.
