MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – In the final game of a spring break trip to the Carolinas, the University of Bridgeport's baseball team was defeated by AIC on Sunday by a score of 14-7.
UB's offense was led by a trio of multi-hit efforts and a total of six walks.
Patrick Krempasky, Justin Leigh, and Sean Jefferson combined to go 6-for-14 in the contest with five RBIs.
Krempasky was especially impressive, registering an RBI double in the fifth and then an RBI single in the ninth. He has been stellar to begin his collegiate career, currently batting .333 with an on-base percentage of .489.
Also on the offensive side, senior Jake Woods reached base a team-high three times. He finished the game with a single and a pair of walks.
