Daytona Beach, Fla.-The University of Bridgeport baseball team wrapped up its 2022 Spring Trip in Florida on Saturday afternoon with a 22-4 loss at Embry-Riddle University. UB is now 3-6 overall, and the host Eagles move to 6-11 on the season.
The Purple Knights got two runs batted in from graduate student Stephen Giambra (Milford, Conn.), and one each from freshmen Jack Palmer (Guilford, Conn.) and Christian Ortiz (Linden, N.J.) on Saturday.
Up next, the UB baseball team returns north to face Adelphi University next Saturday on Long Island in a 12 noon doubleheader to be followed by the team's home opener next Sunday against the Panthers in Seaside Park for another 12 noon doubleheader.
