UB Drops 13-6 ECC Decision To The Spartans

Bridgeport, Conn.-The University of Bridgeport baseball team got in an early 7-0 hole, and the Purple Knights could not climb all the back to take the lead, as UB lost to St. Thomas Aquinas, 13-6, in an East Coast Conference game played at the Ballpark at Harbor Yard on Tuesday afternoon. Bridgeport falls to 3-7 overall and 0-2 in ECC action. STAC is now 16-8 overall and 4-0 in conference play.
Senior Matt Ranaudo (Milford, Conn.) and sophomore Michael James (Piscataway, N.J.) each had two hits for the Purple Knights.
The same two teams will meet on Friday afternoon in Rockland County, New York in a non-conference game.
