Four Student-Athletes Earn Weekly East Coast Conference Honors
Men's and Women's Cross Country, Men's Soccer And Volleyball Earn ECC Accolades.
Central Islip, N.Y.-Four University of Bridgeport student-athletes have earned weekly recognition from the East Coast Conference.
In men's soccer, freshman Markus Naglestad (Kristiansand, Norway) was selected ECC Offensive Player of the Week, as he scored eight goals and had three assists for 19 points in three UB wins last week. This week's conference award is the third time Markus has earned an ECC award in 2010.
In women's volleyball, graduate student Agatha Baliddawa-Mukisa (Jinja, Uganda) was named Co-ECC Player of the Week with Maja Potpara of Dowling College. This week's award is the fourth time Agatha has earned ECC Player of the Week accolades this season.
In cross country, graduate student Sarah Santos(Norwalk, Conn.) was named ECC Female Runner of the Week, and freshman Jacob Bunah (Eldoret, Kenya) was chosen ECC Male Runner of the Week.
