Bridgeport Volleyball Drops Non-Conference Tilt Versus Bentley
Team Back In Action On Saturday At Noon At Home Against Daemen In An Important ECC Contest
Bridgeport, Conn.- The University of Bridgeport women's volleyball team suffered its third straight loss on Tuesday evening in Hubbell Gym, as the Purple Knights fell in a non-conference contest against the Falcons of Bentley University, 23-25, 23-25, 18-25. UB is now 8-11 overall, and Bentley ups its season mark to 15-6.
Senior Bruna Santos (Curitiba, Brazil) led the Purple Knights in kills with 14 on the night.
Junior setter Ellie Rich (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) had a double-double with 25 assists and 11 digs for Bridgeport.
Sophomore Amanda Hennemann (Nova Petropolis, Brazil) led the UB defense with 19 digs, and freshman libero Olivia Storaci (Longmont, Colo.) chipped in 15 digs.
Up next, the UB women's volleyball team will look to get back in the win column on Saturday when they host Daemen College at 12 noon to begin an important weekend of Est Coast Conference action in Hubbell Gym.
