Women’s Soccer Trio Named To USC All-Region Teams
Angelina LoFranco, Kate Thill and Solune Moll were honored by United Soccer Coaches earlier this week for their 2023 accomplishments.
Kansas City, Mo.- University of Bridgeport women's soccer program had three members of the team named to the All-East Region teams by United Soccer Coaches earlier this week. Junior Angelina LoFranco (Greenacres, Fla.) earned Second Team honors while Junior Kate Thill (Goetzingen, Luxembourg) and Sophomore Solune Moll (Bern, Switzerland) were named to Third Team All Region.
Angelina LoFranco was a rock in midfield for UB all season as she made all 21 starts for the Purple Knights. Showcasing an impressive range of passing, the captain provided a team-leading five assists and scored four time herself for 13 total points. LoFranco was already named CACC First Team All-Conference and CACC All-Tournament Team earlier this season.
Kate Thill led the UB frontline with 13 goals and provided a further four assists for a team-leading 30 points. She also secured the most game-winning goals in the squad, deciding the match four separate times. Thill adds this honor along with her CCA All-East Region First Team, CACC First Team All-Conference, CACC All-Tournament Team and CACC Tournament Most Valuable Players awards for the 2023 campaign.
Solune Moll had a fantastic second year for UB and provided some of the most impressive goals of the year. The attacking midfielder consistently showcased her technique on free kicks and scoring from distance. Moll registered five goals and four assist for 14 total points this year. She finishes the year with three awards adding CACC Second Team All-Conference and CACC All-Tournament Team to this USC award.
