Kate Thill Earns 2023 CCA All-East Region Honor
Women’s soccer forward Kate Thill was named to the Conference Commissioners Association All-East Region First Team.
Flushing, N.Y.- University of Bridgeport women's soccer team Junior Kate Thill (Goetzingen, Luxembourg) earned recognition on the Division II Conference Commissioners Association All-East Region First Team. Her second consecutive year named to the CCA First Team, Thill was the lone Purple Knight to be named to the award in 2023. The Division II Conference Commissioners Association All-Region Teams are selected by athletic communications professionals from the various NCAA regions of the country.
Leading the Bridgeport attack with 30 points, comprised of 13 goals and five assists, Kate Thill was indispensable for UB with five game winning goals. The Purple Knights repeated as Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament Champions for the second year in a row and made their third NCAA East Regional appearance in as many years.
Thill also has been recognized multiple times by the CACC, earning First-Team All-Conference, All-Tournament Team and Tournament Most Valuable Players awards already for the 2023 campaign.

The Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2 CCA) encourages and promotes Division II athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements of higher education.
