UB Women's Soccer Earns Fourteenth Consecutive NSCAA Team Academic Award
Purple Knights Compile Impressive 3.40 Team Grade Point Average
Bridgeport, Conn.-For the fourteenth consecutive season, the University of Bridgeport women's soccer program has been recognized by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) with a College Team Academic Award.
A total of 861 college soccer teams (279 men, 582 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2013-14 academic year.
The UB women's soccer team, under the direction of sixteenth-year head coach Magnus Nilerud, posted a 3.40 grade point average to earn its fourteenth consecutive NSCAA Team Academic Award.
On the field in 2014, the Purple Knights went 14-5-2 overall and advanced to the Second Round of 2014 NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championship Tournament as the Purple Knights made their seventh NCAA appearance in the last eight seasons.
