Women's Soccer Places Three On 2013 Daktronics National All-America Teams
Tabea Rauschenberger, Julia Hansson and Danielle Puddefoot Recognized For Their Outstanding Play
Indianapolis, Indiana-Three members of the 2013 University of Bridgeport East Coast Conference Champion women's soccer team have been selected as National Daktronics All-Americans.
Freshman defender Tabea Rauschenberger (Mühlacker, Germany) was named Second Team All-American, senior goalkeeper Julia Hansson (Tocksfors, Sweden) earned Third Team recognition and junior Danielle Puddefoot (Slough, England) received Honorable Mention All-American accolades.
Sports information directors from NCAA Division II schools and conferences selected the three Daktronics All-America teams. The process begins at the regional level with all first-team all-region picks advancing to the national ballot. This is the seventh year Daktronics has sponsored the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer All-America and all-region teams. A total of 66 student-athletes representing 34 different institutions filled out the three teams and the honorable mention squad.
The team is sponsored by Daktronics, Inc., an acknowledged world leader in scoring, timing and programmable display systems for virtually every sport at every level of competition. The team is voted on by the NCAA Division II members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (D2SIDA).
