Brookville, N.Y.-The LIU Post women's soccer team, ranked number 11 in the nation by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, scored three first half goals and never looked back as the Pioneers handed the University of Bridgeport its first East Coast Conference loss of the 2012 season on Long Island on Saturday afternoon by a 3-1 score. The loss snaps a six-match winning streak of the Purple Knights who are now 6-4-1 overall and 4-1-0 in conference play. LIU Post is now 10-1-1 overall and remains unbeaten in the ECC at 5-0-0.

The Purple Knights will look to get back in the win column on Thursday afternoon, October 11 when they travel to Stonehill College for a non-conference contest. Action gets underway in Massachusetts at 3:30 p.m.
