Women's Soccer Loses Second Straight Double Overtime Contest

Manchester. N.H.-For the second consecutive match, the University of Bridgeport women's soccer team lost a double overtime decision, as the Purple Knights fell at Southern New Hampshire University, 2-1, on Wednesday night. UB is now 0-3 on the season. SNHU raises its record to 2-1.
Trailing 1-0, the Purple Knights tied the game in the 66th minute when sophomore Danielle Puddefoot (Slough, England) scored her first goal in a Bridgeport uniform off an assist from graduate student Julia Colley (Harlow, England).
The match would remain tied at 1-1 until SNHU scored the game-winning goal 3:22 into the final overtime period.
The Bridgeport women's soccer team is back in action this Saturday afternoon at Georgian Court University in Lakewood, N.J.
