Katie Stanley Named Second Team NSCAA Scholar All-America
Women's Soccer Team Also Tabbed Number 13 In The Nation In Final NCSAA Poll Of 2011
Bridgeport, Conn.-University of Bridgeport women's soccer senior midfielder Katie Stanley (Oxford, England) has been selected to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Second Team 2011 Scholar All-America Team for the College Division (non-Division I schools). Stanley is an Education major with a 3.40 grade point average. Earlier this year, she also received Capital One CoSIDA Academic All-District accolades.
On the field, Stanley was named a Second Team NSCAA All-America plus a Third Team Daktronics Inc. All-America, as she helped Bridgeport to a 16-0-2 overall record during the 2011 season in which she scored seven goals and had six assists to notch 20 total points.

As a team, the UB women's soccer squad finished ranked number 13 in the nation in the final NSCAA Poll of the 2011 season.
