Women's Soccer Falls In Shootout Versus Queens In ECC Semifinals
QC Converts All Five Shots To Advance To Sunday's Final Versus C.W. Post

Flushing, N.Y.-The Queens (N.Y.) College Knights advanced to the 2010 East Coast Conference Women's Soccer Championship match where they will face the C.W. Post Pioneers on Sunday by outscoring the visiting University of Bridgeport Purple Knights, 5-3, in a penalty kick shootout after the teams had battled to a 0-0 draw after two overtimes. The game will go down as a tie on the two teams' season records. Queens is now 10-6-2 heading into Sunday's championship game; while UB is now 13-3-2.
The Knights scored on all five of their kicks in the shootout. QC goalkeeper Alison Breakey, who made 10 saves on the day to keep the Purple Knights off the scoreboard, stopped Bridgeport's second shooter to her team in control in the shoot out.
Bridgeport goalkeeper, junior Julia Colley (Harlow, England) was credited with four saves on the day.
