Women's Lacrosse Suffers 17-8 Defeat At Queens (N.Y.) College
UB Back In Action At Home On Saturday Night
Flushing, N.Y.-The University of Bridgeport women's lacrosse team suffered its sixth consecutive loss on Tuesday afternoon, as the Purple Knights dropped a 17-8 East Coast Conference decision against the host Queens (N.Y.) College Knights. UB is now 3-7 overall and 0-6 in conference play. QC is now 8-5 overall and 2-3 in the ECC.
Graduate student Lindsay Kehoe (West Haven, Conn.) led Bridgeport in scoring on Tuesday with four goals. Sophomore Colleen Pruesse (Danbury, Conn.) and freshmen Alexia Costa (Providence, R.I.), Gabrielle Valela (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) and Katie King (Paxton, Mass.), each netted one goal.
The Purple Knights will look to get back in the win column at home on Saturday night when they host Dowling College in an ECC match-up. Game time is set for 6:00 p.m., and Saturday will also be senior night.
