Seton Hill Defeats Women's Lacrosse, 18-4, In ECC Play
Purple Knights Back In Action At Home On Wednesday Night Versus C.W. Post
Greensburg, Pa.-The University of Bridgeport women's lacrosse team suffered an 18-4 road defeat against the Seton Hill University Griffins on Monday afternoon in Pennsylvania. With the loss, UB is now 3-4 overall and 0-3 in the East Coast Conference. Seton Hill raises its mark to 10-3 overall and 3-2 in conference play.
The game was tied 4-4 with 11:12 to go in the first half, but the Griffins scored the final five goals of that half and held UB scoreless in the second half to earn the victory.
Freshman Gabrielle Valela (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) with two tallies and one each from freshman Alexia Costa (Providence, R.I.) and graduate student Lindsay Kehoe (West Haven, Conn.) were UB's goal scorers on Monday.
The Bridgeport women's lacrosse team is back in action at home on Wednesday evening when they host C.W, Post at Knights Field. Game time is set for 6:00 p.m.
