Women's Lacrosse Falls In 2012 ECC Opener To Molloy, 21-11
Lindsay Kehoe Leads Bridgeport Offense With Four Goals And One Assist
Bridgeport, Conn.-The University of Bridgeport women's lacrosse team opened its 2012 East Coast Conference schedule at home on Tuesday night with a with a 21-11 loss to the visiting Molloy College Lions. UB is now 3-2 overall and 0-1 in conference play. Molloy moves to 5-6 overall and 2-0 in the ECC.
Graduate student Lindsay Kehoe (West Haven, Conn.) led the Purple Knights offense with four goals and one assist.
Freshman Gabrielle Valela (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) and Alexia Costa (Providence, R.I.) also had two goals apiece for Bridgeport.
Sophomore Nichole Rogers (Dallas, Texas) faced 35 total shots and made 12 saves for UB.
The Bridgeport women's lacrosse team will now hit the road for ECC games at Lake Erie on Sunday and at Seton Hill on Monday.
