Women's Lacrosse Still Looking For First Win Of 2011

Brookhaven, N.Y.-The University of Bridgeport lacrosse team saw its season record fall to 0-5 overall and 0-2 in East Coast Conference play, as the Purple Knights were shut out for the second straight contest as they were defeated by the host Dowling College Golden Lions, 23-0.  The win lifts Dowling's season record to 5-2, and Saturday's game was the Golden Lions first conference game of 2011.

Freshman goalie Victoria Harrison (Massapequa, N.Y.) made nine saves in net for UB.

The women's lacrosse team will play an exhibition game at Brookdale Community College on Wednesday, and the Purple Knights will return to East Coast Conference play in two weeks (April 16th) at Mercy College.
