Gymnastics Finishes Regular Season at UNH Quad Meet
The Purple Knights tallied a team score of 194.175.
MANCHESTER, N.H. – In their final meet of the regular season, the University of Bridgeport's gymnastics team tallied a score of 194.175 at the University of New Hampshire on Sunday. The Purple Knights competed in a quad meet against UNH, Temple and Brown.
Event Scores – Vault (48.625) | Bars (48.650) | Beam (48.525) | Floor (48.375)
Bars provided the most success for UB, both collectively and individually. The Purple Knights' team score in the event was their highest, while Emily Hernandez and Samantha Nokes each tallied the highest individual marks of the day.
Hernandez placed second with a season-best 9.875 while Nokes finished fifth with a season-high mark of 9.825.
Nova Staruk and Olivia Imbarlina also provided solid scores on Sunday. Staruk put together a 9.800 on vault (4th place) while Imbarlina (7th place) posted the same score on beam.
On floor, it was the sophomore duo of Abigail Kenney and Lola Sepulveda leading the way. Kenney finished eighth in the event with a 9.775 while Sepulveda placed 10th courtesy of a 9.750.
Kenney and Sepulveda ended the meet with all-around marks of 38.750 and 37.900, respectively.
