Gymnastics Enjoys Strong Showing at All-American Challenge
The Purple Knights' 193.125 is their second highest total this season.
UNCASVILLE, Conn. – Competing in one of the more unique venues of the season, the University of Bridgeport's gymnastics squad tallied a mark of 193.125 at the All-American Challenge held at Mohegan Sun on Monday.
The Purple Knights have now eclipsed 193 points on two occasions this season. In fact, UB's total on Sunday serves as their second highest of the year, finishing slightly less than their 193.550 on Jan. 26.

Facing the likes of Brown University and West Chester University, UB had a gymnast finish first or tied for first in three different events on Monday.
UB's lone senior Hannah Barry set the tone for the Purple and White in their first event. The West Hartford native tied for first among all competitors on beam with a season-high score of 9.875.
Nova Staruk served as UB's next winner of the night on vault. The rookie racked up a season-high 9.9 to finish 0.125 better than any other competitor in the event.
In the final event of the night, freshman Emily Hernandez helped cement one of UB's top scores of the season. The California native put forth a 9.8 (season-high) on bars to tie for first place amongst all individuals.
When the dust settled, sophomores Abigail Kenney and Lola Sepulveda ended up going 1-2 in the all-around for the second straight meet.
Kenney topped her classmate in extremely tight fashion, 38.225-38.125.
